Hotere Visits Duchamp [after Hotere & Duchamp]

Here Marcel Duchamp's house has walls which simulates the shinning black corrugated sheets in Hotere's "Aramoana" paintings. Inside the house, the collage simulates Duchamp's works "The waterfall". The doors are meant to be only slightly ajar so that one peeks into the inner sanctuary to see the incongruous naked woman holding the lamp by the pool of water.

6th International Bakers Dozen Collage Exchange

Artists have each made 13 collages.
The one work from each artist shown here becomes part of the permanent collection of the IMCAC.
Another collage from each artist becomes part of the permanent collection of ArtColle in Sergines, France.
One work from each artist is exhibited and offered for sale in New Plymouth, New Zealand.
A package of 10 mixed collages is sent back to each participating artist.
