The Virginian-Pilot, a mid-sized newspaper in Norfolk, Virginia.
"I'm a native of Brooklyn, New York, where I studied art at CCNY and the School of Visual Arts. I paint in oils and watercolor in addition to assembling and my assemblages have recently been in some big local shows. My work is occasionally used for illustrations in the paper. My husband is a graphic artist at the paper, where we met ... and my 16-year-old son is enrolled in a special art program offered by the state. I'm a great fan of Joseph Cornell, Louise Nevelson, Red Grooms and Marcel Duchamp, from all of whom I borrow extensively in my work." |
